The standard affiliate code does not add any extra discount. It mirrors whatever promotion is currently active, so the final price is the same whether your friend uses your code or the public promo code. What your code does is attribute the purchase to you. Premium Discount Codes, granted separately, are the exception.

How the standard code works
- If a 20% promotion is running, your code applies 20% off.
- If the current promotion is 30% off, your code applies 30% off.
- If no promotion is active, your code applies no discount.
Challenges frequently run promotions, so your friend will often see a discount at checkout — but it's the same discount they'd get with the public promo code, and oftentimes the running promotion already offers the maximum discount. (Trade League pricing is essentially never discounted.)
So what's the point of the code?
Attribution. When your friend enters your code, the purchase is credited to you and you earn the flat commission for that sale — and if it's their first-ever signup, they become your referred user on that account for its lifetime. That's the real value of the code.
Your code also does not stack with the public promo code — entering both doesn't double the discount.
The exception: Premium Discount Codes
TradeSport separately grants Premium Discount Codes to approved affiliates. Unlike the standard code, a Premium Discount Code adds an additional percentage on top of the active promotion, so customers using it genuinely pay less.
