Do affiliate codes stack with site sales?

Standard affiliate codes do not stack with public promo codes — they mirror the active promotion and entering both does not double the discount. Premium Discount Codes are different: granted through a separate application (open to any active affiliate, no minimum signups), they add an additional percentage on top of the active promotion.

It depends on which kind of affiliate code it is. There are two, and they behave differently.

Standard affiliate codes: no stacking

Every approved affiliate gets a standard affiliate code. It mirrors the currently active promotion — same discount, same final price as the public promo code. It is not stackable with the public promo code; entering both does not double the discount. Its purpose is attribution: it credits the purchase to the affiliate.

Premium Discount Codes: additive on top of the promotion

A Premium Discount Code is a separate, application-based grant. Unlike the standard code, it adds an additional percentage discount on top of any active promotion. For example, if a 20% promotion is running and the Premium Discount Code carries an additional 10%, customers using that code get 30% off list price. If no promotion is active, they get just the code's own percentage.

Key facts about Premium Discount Codes:

  • Any active affiliate may apply — there is no minimum signup threshold.
  • Grants go to affiliates who have demonstrated quality referrals or who have a strong social-media following or trust base, even before generating sales.
  • The additional percentage is set per grant, typically in the 1% to 10% range.
  • Applications go through the affiliate dashboard; approval is at TradeSport's sole discretion and a grant can be revoked if misused or if the conditions behind it no longer apply.

Note that a Premium Discount Code is separate from the Premium Tier commission bump — holding one doesn't grant the other. See "What is the Premium Tier?" for the commission side.
