Blowing up your Trade League account: before vs. after the reset deadline

If you breach the Trade League max loss before the entry/reset deadline (11:59 PM ET, Wednesday of the final week), you can buy a $50 reset — up to 10 per entry — and keep competing. If you blow up after the deadline, no resets are available and your account forfeits revenue-share eligibility for that month. You can enter again the next month.

Updated

What happens when you breach the Trade League max loss depends entirely on when it happens relative to the entry/reset deadline — 11:59 PM ET on the Wednesday of the tournament's final week.

Before the deadline

You're still in the game. Buy a $50 reset (or redeem a prepaid bundle voucher) and your account is restored to its $50,000 starting balance with open positions cleared. You can do this up to 10 times per entry, at any point from when entries open through the deadline — it is not limited to the first week of the month.

After the deadline

Once the deadline passes, no resets can be purchased or applied — including on the Thursday and Friday of close week. If your account is blown out after the deadline:

  • The account forfeits revenue-share eligibility for that month's tournament.
  • There is no way to buy back in for that month.
  • Entry and reset fees already paid are not refunded.

What's next after a post-deadline blowup

Each Trade League month is a separate tournament. A blown account in one month has no effect on the next — you can enter the following month's Trade League with a fresh $75 entry (or $195 bundle) and a fresh $50,000 account.

For the exact loss rules that can blow the account, see "Trade League max loss and drawdown rules".
