General
A plain-English glossary of the terms you'll see across TradeSport: drawdown, profit target, winning day, consistency rule, reset, milestone, daily flatten, eval, funded account, and revenue share.
Updated
Eval (evaluation phase) — the first phase of a Two-Phase Challenge: hit the profit target under the rules to qualify for the funded account. One-Phase Challenges skip this entirely.
Funded account — a simulated account that pays real cash when you hit its payout requirements. One-Phase accounts are funded from day one; Two-Phase accounts become funded after you pass the eval and complete KYC and the Trader Agreement with Prop Account LC (activation is free).
Profit target — the simulated profit you must accumulate to qualify for a payout (or to pass an eval).
Drawdown / max loss — the loss limit that ends your account if breached. On challenges it's intraday trailing (moves up with your intraday gains) until your first payout, then permanently locks at starting balance + $100. Trade League uses a different mechanic: an end-of-day trailing auto-liquidation threshold plus a $2,000 intraday max loss.
Winning day — a trading day with net profit at or above your tier's published per-day minimum. Challenges require a number of winning days per payout cycle.
Consistency rule — a cap on how much of your profit can come from a single day. On One-Phase: no single day may exceed 30% of the current cycle's profit target. On Two-Phase: during the eval, no single day may exceed 40% of the total net profit accumulated during the eval; in the funded phase, no single day may exceed 40% of the current milestone's profit requirement.
Milestone — one of the five payout checkpoints on a Two-Phase funded account.
Reset — a purchase that starts you over with a brand-new account. Unlimited on challenges; up to 10 per Trade League entry.
Daily flatten — the automatic closing of all open positions at 3:59:59 PM ET every day.
Revenue share — the Trade League payout pool, funded by the month's entry and reset revenue and distributed to the top 10% of paid entries.
90/10 split — on every payout, you receive 90% of the displayed amount; TradeSport retains 10%.

- Can I lose more than my entry fee?No. Trading is simulated, so blowing the account never creates a debt. Your entry fee (plus any resets you choose to buy) is the absolute maximum you can lose.
- Do I need trading experience to start? There's no experience requirement — just be 18+ and outside the restricted countries. Tiers run from Beginner to Advanced, trading is fully simulated so the downside is capped at your entry fee, and micro contracts let you trade small.
- How does TradeSport compare to other prop firms (FTMO, Topstep, Apex)?TradeSport's differences: an option to be funded from day one, a universal 90/10 split from the first payout, no daily loss limits, unlimited resets, a drawdown that locks at starting balance + $100 after your first payout, and Trade League — a monthly ranked tournament format.
- Is this real money? The trading is simulated — no real capital is at risk in your trades. But the entry fee you pay is real, and the payouts you earn are real cash, issued by Prop Account, LLC and disbursed via Rise at a 90/10 split in your favor.
- Is TradeSport gambling? No. Outcomes on TradeSport are determined by trading skill against published, objective rules — not by chance, lottery mechanics, or wagering. Entry fees buy access to compete, not a bet on an event.
