Challenges

Are challenges real money or simulated?

Challenge accounts use simulated (virtual) funds against real-time market data — none of your capital is at risk beyond the fees you pay. The payouts, however, are real cash: you keep 90% of every payout, issued by Prop Account, LLC and disbursed via Rise, typically within 24–48 hours of request.

Updated

Both, in a sense — the trading is simulated, but the payouts are real.

The account is simulated

All TradeSport accounts use simulated (virtual) funds in a simulated trading environment. The $50,000 / $100,000 / $150,000 starting balances are not real capital, and no money of yours is at risk in the trades themselves — your only real outlay is the entry fee (and any reset fees) you choose to pay.

The market data is real

You trade against real-time market data through your choice of connection — Rithmic, DXtrade, or Volumetrica — with realistic mechanics: commissions are deducted from your account balance at fill time ($0.46–$2.90 per side depending on the product, per the published schedule), and positions auto-flatten at 3:59:59 PM ET daily. Prices, fills, and market conditions mirror the live futures market.

The payouts are real

When you meet the published requirements and request a payout, you receive 90% of the gross amount as real cash (TradeSport retains 10%). Payouts are issued by Prop Account, LLC and disbursed via Rise — typically received within 24–48 hours of request — after one-time identity verification (KYC) and payout review clear. Tax documents are issued as required by law, and you are responsible for your own taxes on payout income.

This structure is what makes challenges work: you prove your trading on simulated capital, without risking your own, and earn real money for hitting real performance criteria.
